  • The Elytra allows you to fly in survival. If you own the item, you are less incentivized to build transportation infrastructure.
  • The new combat system is against the seemingly simple player mechanics.
  • Sword blocking was replaced by shields.
  • End Crystals can be craftable. While its original goal was to resummon the Ender Dragon, it completely changed the PvP meta, albeit that was discovered a bit later.

  • Mixed feelings about the palette change: lime, yellow and light blue wools got their colors altered too much.
